Bio

Alicia Garcia is a Chicana, first-generation, student of color at CU Boulder. She strives to be a role model as the oldest sibling and grandchild in her family. Her goal is to become an immigration lawyer; inspired by her community, their stories motivate her to provide affordable resources to those obtaining legal status.

As an ethnic studies major and Multicultural Leadership Scholar (MLS), Alicia has gained a new perspective of leadership that will aid her in her journey in becoming an immigration lawyer. Through the MLS program she has gained a new perspective of leadership. The program has taught her the different styles of leadership that she can utilize as an immigration lawyer when working with marginalized communities.
