Fellow
Law School Yes! We Can

August 2017 - present

I am a fellow in Judge Arguello's LSYWC program; created to aid first-generation students on their path from college to law school. Each fellow is given at least three mentors whom they meet with once a month. Fellows are expected to attend workshops provided by LSYWC that provides resources on how to apply and be successful in law school.

Mentor
University Hill Elementary

August - December 2019

I spent a semester mentoring three fifth graders through the Education Department at CU Boulder. Once a week my mentees, and others in the program, would come together on campus to participate in workshops that the mentors and I would facilitate. The workshops topics would include identity, culture, and advocacy. The program's goal is to provide resources to students of color at Uni Hill and to show the that they too can attend a university like CU Boulder.

District Court Intern
Adams County: Judge Roberto Ramirez

May - July 2019

As an intern for Judge Ramirez, I would observe court proceedings such as docket and trials. In addition to Judge Ramirez's court, I would observe other department court proceedings. There were various prosecutors and defense lawyers that I had the opportunity to engage with and shadow. In addition, I would aid in organizing case files and reviewing paperwork.
